A Journey Through Learning is excited to partner with Maestro Classics to give away their Peter and the Wolf CD and our corresponding Lapbook.

Peter and the Wolf, the greatest of all works for narrator and orchestra, joins image

Maestro Classics’ delightful Stories in Music™ series as the London Philharmonic, conductor Stephen Simon and narrator Yadu, create a magical listening experience. Additional tracks about Prokofiev, what to listen for in the music, and wonderful Russian folk music transform this into a modern classic. 24-page program book included.

These CDs are great. I reviewed them last year here.

My family had Peter and the Wolf on record, so that’s definitely one of the most memorable. For more recent children’s stories, I loved The Fox and the Hound.

Being a strawbery blonde, I would have to say my favorite chilhood classic was Goldilocks and the three bears. I just loved how Baby Bear’s things were always, “just right.” I guess my type A personality was evident even then. 🙂

One of my favorite stories as a child is the Monster at the end of this Book. Not a classic then but has become one more so now. As for a classic I would say maybe Three Bears or Jack and the Bean Stalk.
